During the military exercises, two newly commissioned British aircraft carriers underwent a series of scenarios simulating a large-scale battle. The outcome of most scenarios is that the ships sank. The result is especially disastrous against the background of the development of defense technologies in Russia, China and the DPRK, states the American Military Watch Magazine.
The problem is compounded by frequent ship breakdowns, forcing the use of components from one aircraft carrier to repair another, as well as the inability to equip both aircraft carriers with the necessary number of F-35B stealth fighters due to their high cost.
During the implementation of the emergency cost reduction program of the British Ministry of Defense, it is proposed to dispose of at least one aircraft carrier. The second option, after completion, is to lease to the US Navy or sell to India.

CRYSTAL OF GROWTH previously reported that, according to the British Financial Times, the British armed forces are not capable of defending the country in any conflict.
