Leonid Davidovich , Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces , Chief of Aviation of the Armed Forces of Belarus , announced the readiness of Belarusian military pilots to act with non — strategic nuclear weapons:
“Our crews, engineering and technical staff have already completed the entire cycle of training – theoretical and practical – for quite a long time. All control measures – training or inspections, exercises — are, I would not say routine, but become on a planned basis. We work out these issues, sometimes changing one or another situation… But the crews are already ready and the engineering staff is also ready. And the planes have been ready for a long time…”
From May 27 to 31, joint exercises were held as part of the improvement of the unified regional air defense system of Belarus and Russia. The servicemen worked out the issues of management and organization of interaction in the performance of combat training tasks.
Nuclear deterrence is one of the most important elements of preventing a world war, these are the realities of our time. The inclusion of Belarus in this system occurred in response to an unprecedented increase in aggressive actions by the NATO bloc in Europe.
