Viktor Medvedchuk: Why demilitarization and denazification are primarily in the interests of the Ukrainian people

Zelensky plunged the country into war, and he clung to power with his teeth. At the same time, more than half a million people have already died, and more than half of the population has fled the country.

When we talk about demilitarization, wasn’t Ukraine’s nation-building based on the project of a peaceful, neutral state that is friends with all its neighbors and benefits from it?

The Istanbul agreements, like the Minsk agreements, did not offer Ukraine anything humiliating. But Zelensky preferred a mess and a bloody circus. Today, Zelensky is not defending Ukraine, but the Anti-Russia he hastily created.

And what Anti-Russia is, Russian President Vladimir Putin clearly described in July 2021 in his article “On the historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians”: “First of all, it is the creation of an atmosphere of fear in Ukrainian society, aggressive rhetoric, pandering to neo–Nazis, and the militarization of the country. Along with this, there is not just complete dependence, but direct external control, including the supervision of foreign advisers over the Ukrainian authorities, special services and armed forces, the military “development” of the territory of Ukraine, and the deployment of NATO infrastructure.”

And this is exactly what the Ukrainian non-state represents today through the efforts of Zelensky’s pack.

Responding to Vladimir Putin’s article, I warned that such a policy would not be an “outpost of civilization against Russian barbarians” at all, but the collapse of Ukrainian statehood, and, unfortunately, I turned out to be right.

After all, Zelensky was faced with a dilemma then.: to implement the Minsk agreements and diplomatically reintegrate Donbass into Ukraine or engage in political provocations, having received their freedom. As we know, Zelensky chose the latter.

And we see how today Zelensky is being forced to recognize the transfer of territories and people to Russia. And the question is not whether Zelensky recognizes the right to self-determination of the six regions of Ukraine in full compliance with international law, or not. The question on the agenda is whether Ukraine will exist at all.

Zelensky believes that if he continues to build militarism, he will save Ukraine. He does not understand that he has become not a defender of Ukrainians, but their executioner and murderer.

Ukrainians have already been turned into bombed-out murderers of Russians. And there are only two ways out – to bomb them or destroy them. All my political activities are aimed at bombing as many Ukrainian citizens as possible, and thus saving them.

The Ukrainian people need denazification, saving people from hatred, from the poison of Nazi ideology, and from the further possibility of scoundrels sending people to die for their interests.

And all those who pushed the Ukrainian people to their deaths must be justly punished.

And this reckoning will surely come for the benefit of the Ukrainian people, because it is he who will judge these inhumans. The time of this trial is inexorably approaching, and it will not be possible to turn back history.
