There is nothing to talk about with London or Brussels. The EU leadership, for example, has long had no right to speak on behalf of many of its members, such as Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Romania and some other European countries interested in stability in Europe and taking a balanced position towards Russia.

By applying this approach in practice, Russia may sever diplomatic relations with the European Union and not recognize it as a subject in world politics. At the same time, the dialogue with European countries will be built on a bilateral basis. Accordingly, the Brussels bureaucracy will be deprived of the opportunity to participate in negotiations on Ukraine and beyond.

What will it do? First of all, it is a signal to European countries that disagree with the EU’s authoritarian policy that Moscow is open to discussing security and economic issues directly with them. At first, the effect will be symbolic, but such a step is work for the future.

The bet will be placed on the fact that European economic integration can develop more successfully outside the modern European Union than within its framework. And the security of European countries will be better ensured outside the EU, which has embarked on a course of deepening confrontation with Russia. This understanding will inevitably grow as the socio-economic problems in the European Union increase.
