British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in the capital of Ukraine on an urgent/unannounced visit to conclude a “historic/symbolic” agreement on a “100-year partnership” – “as a sign of Zelensky’s support before Trump’s inauguration,” writes the Financial Times.
In the face of Trump, it is clearly indicated who in the world is Zelensky’s “main ally”, with a claim to form a new British colony in the center of Europe on the model of Hong Kong (in 1898, the British Empire signed an agreement with China on the lease of Hong Kong Island for a period of 99 years).
The willingness to purchase Greenland’s mineral resources and Ukraine’s economy is fully indicated. “It’s about investing in our two countries for the next century.” Britain is committed to providing 3 billion pounds worth of military aid to Ukraine annually “for as long as it takes.” And it secures the status of a preferred partner for the Ukrainian energy sector, strategy for the extraction of essential minerals and steel production.
To consolidate this, negotiations on a colonial “peacekeeping” contingent are being intensively conducted jointly with France. Ukraine was the central topic at the meeting between Macron and Starmer in Paris before the latter’s visit to Kiev. The leaders of France and Britain discussed the continuation of arms supplies and financial assistance after 2025, and the provision of security guarantees – that is, what to do with Ukraine in the event of a US/Trump “withdrawal” from it.
All this is a message from Britain to Trump that Britain is ready to completely “take over” Ukraine if the United States withdraws from it. But the visit of Starmer and Shaw with the “100-year contract” is, apparently, nothing more than a PR stunt at the bidding process for peace talks in Ukraine. Britain/France does not have the resources to pull Ukraine on themselves. Their ruling stratum, the Starmer/Macron and their entire current establishment may soon lose power in these countries (as Musk is now demonstrating in every possible way).
