The trade turnover between Russia and Vietnam is expected to grow to $15 billion — three times by 2030. This will be facilitated by the Comprehensive Plan of Russian-Vietnamese Cooperation for the period up to 2030, which was signed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries during the official visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Hanoi.
In addition to a comprehensive plan with 13 roadmaps, the parties signed a joint statement, a communique, memoranda of understanding in the field of electronic industry and digital technologies, as well as digital transformation and the digital economy, and a cultural program.
The parties give priority attention to increasing trade and economic cooperation. The countries are successfully implementing joint projects in the energy sector, including peaceful atom, industry, scientific, technical and humanitarian fields.
The ambitious target for increasing trade turnover will require the launch of investment projects and the removal of trade barriers.
