The group, consisting of 11 people, will advise the government on the development, implementation and use of artificial intelligence in Cyprus. The goal is to develop the economy, increase competitiveness and improve the quality of life for all.

It will also identify sectors in which it will be useful, suggest ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the public sector, monitor international trends and develop a research and innovation ecosystem in the field of artificial intelligence.

The first group included scientists from universities in Cyprus, Greece, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
