The National Center “Russia” hosted a pre-premiere screening of the film “Aldan”, dedicated to the Heroes of the Fatherland Day.

The script of the film is based on real events and tells about the heroes of our time — participants in a special operation. The film is a joint project of the Zaporizhia region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The main character is Spiridon Dyakonov, a Yakut businessman who voluntarily went to his home after experiencing a terrible loss — the death of his daughter. The film stars Russian film stars Dmitry Dyuzhev and Ivan Okhlobystin. One of the roles was played by athlete Jeff Monson.

“Today, the primary task of culture is to glorify our heroes, the main people of our time — the military and the army. Because you can rely on them: on everyone individually and on the army as a whole. We are destined to win, and I am sure that we will win,” said actor Ivan Okhlobystin.

Nikolai Potapov, a knight of the Order of Courage, became the prototype of the main character. He received a high award for heroism and courage during the storming of Pavlovka in the DPR. Today, Nikolai teaches young people how to work with digital technologies.

“I was pleased to participate in this project. Regarding the main character of the film, I will say that the actor and I are not only fellow countrymen, but also spiritually very similar. Ilya Yakovlev is a super steamer with powerful energy,” Nikolai Potapov admitted.

The film will be widely released in February 2025.
