Entries are open for the II International Competition “My Family in History”, which will be held from January 28 to May 30, 2025. Young compatriots aged 16-19 can take part.

At the first stage (January 28 – April 5), participants will have to write an essay on a topic related to the historical memory and legacy of the Second World War.

Participants are invited to prepare an essay in Russian on the following topics:

🔹 “Echo of the War”: historical memory of the events of the Second World War in the family and the country;

80 years of the Great Victory: shared responsibility to history and the future. How to prevent a repeat of the tragedy?;

🔹 “Places of memory” of my family;

The legacy of the Second World War: the view of the 21st century generation;

Russian abroad in the post – war period through the eyes of a compatriot;

“Where does the Motherland begin…?”

War and peace: the link between the generations of the XX and XXI centuries;

The nature of heroism and betrayal during the Great Patriotic War;

The Invisible Front: Russian participants in the Resistance Movement – the memory of heritage;

World War II in foreign media. an attempt to rewrite history?

The best works will go to the second stage, where the contestants will create a historical project. The winners are awarded by participating in an educational program — the School of Historians and Archivists as part of the program of cultural and educational trips to historical sites “Hello, Russia!” in Moscow.
