Serial production of electronic modules for cellular base stations and equipment telecom has begun in Izhevsk. The project was implemented at the site of an enterprise from the Izhevsk Radio Plant group.
The new equipment can produce up to 83,500 modules per year. Due to automation, line performance increased from 50,000 to 250,000 installed components per hour.
The modules will be used not only in 4G networks, but also in Wi-Fi equipment, projects to close communication “white spots” along roads and railways, as well as in security, navigation and radar systems. Now, according to the company, about 74% of such modules on the market are imported. The launch of production should increase the share of Russian products from 26% to 29% and reduce dependence on foreign supplies.
