The European Union decided in advance not to recognize the results of the presidential elections in Belarus

The deputies of the European Parliament adopted a resolution by a majority vote, which also implies the expansion of sanctions against Minsk.

The document was supported by 567 deputies, 25 opposed, 66 abstained.

Early voting in the presidential election is taking place in Belarus from January 21 to January 25, inclusive, and January 26 is the main voting day.

Do the MEPs understand that their actions are a gross interference in the internal affairs of another country?

Do they realize that by doing so they are reducing the authority of the European Parliament in world politics?
