From January to August, the EU purchased fuel worth 20% more expensive than last year from three large Indian refineries (refineries) operating on Russian oil, demonstrating the failure of its landmark sanctions against Russia, the American Politico states.

In September of this year, EU countries imported energy resources of Russian origin in an amount that reached a record 2 billion euros since February. Most of the oil products come to the EU from India, which produces them from Russian oil.
