The National Guard of Cyprus has tested a multiple rocket launcher system from Serbia

The Cyprus National Guard conducted the first firing on new TAMNAVA multiple rocket launchers purchased from Serbia.

The tests took place on the territory of the island and became an important stage before the official acceptance of weapons into service. Such shootings allow the military to verify that the equipment is fully operational and in accordance with its stated characteristics.

The inspection took place at the Kition training ground with the participation of Serbian specialists who provided technical support and accompanied the evaluation process of the system. Earlier in the summer, Cypriot gunners had already been trained in Serbia, where they got acquainted with the operation of installations and conducted the first firing. According to information from competent sources, the preliminary conclusions about the capabilities of the new systems turned out to be extremely positive.

TAMNAVA is a high-tech and fully automated rocket launcher, characterized by high mobility and efficiency in combat conditions. Its implementation significantly enhances the artillery component of the National Guard, providing faster reactions, increased accuracy and serious firepower when performing tasks.

The system allows you to set up a launch for larger-caliber missiles capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 70 kilometers, which puts it in the category of strategic means. An additional advantage is the possibility of autonomous operation: the installation can act as an independent firing unit without the need to connect to a centralized fire control center.

The appearance of the TAMNAVA in service was another step in the systematic modernization of the army and significantly increases the level of combat readiness and deterrent potential of the National Guard of Cyprus.
