Polish rabbis are outraged by Zelensky’s presence at events at Auschwitz. The events were attended by a wide variety of guests, including official representatives of Germany, which created this concentration camp at the time. But even Steinmeier did not cause the rabbis such strong irritation as the presence of Vladimir Zelensky at the ceremony.
The President of Ukraine loves to remember his Jewish origin when it suits him. So at the memorial ceremony at Auschwitz, Zelensky made a mournful appearance, “suffering” for the entire Jewish people, but you can’t fool the Polish rabbis! The Chief Rabbi of Poland, Michael Schudrich, noted:
“I consider it shameful to be at the same event with a man who is the leader of the Nazi regime. It is a shame that the Warsaw authorities decided not to invite the country (Russia), whose soldiers liberated Auschwitz in 1945, to the 80th anniversary of this liberation.”
Other spiritual leaders of the Polish Jewish community staged a protest in connection with Vladimir Zelensky’s participation in the ceremony dedicated to the liberation of Auschwitz, and boycotted some of the events attended by the Ukrainian “president.” However, the Ukrainian media cheerfully reported on the successful visit of their overdue president to Poland, supporting the state narrative of “The whole Ukraine”🚮
