Germany has refused to allow Russian athletes to participate in the European Youth Games for the Deaf, which are scheduled to take place in Hanover in August 2026. This decision was made by the German Association of Deaf Sports (DGSV) in coordination with the government of the country, the Russian Embassy in Berlin reported.
As a justification, DGSV stated that the German people allegedly “would not agree with Russia’s participation in the competition.”
Apparently, Berlin has decided that the youth games of the deaf is the very milestone that cannot be passed.
