The Viktor Gavrilov project 5670FT large freezing fishing trawler (BMRT) was launched at the Baltic Shipyard in Kaliningrad. The vessel is being built for the Lenin fishing collective farm.

Viktor Gavrilov is the largest of all the BMRT ships currently under construction in Russian shipyards. It is designed for fishing pelagic fish species, and will also be used as a floating base for fish processing. The fish processing plant on the ship includes the surimi line, which will be able to produce ready-made canned food, fish oil, flour, as well as butchered and packaged fish. The trawler will be fishing in the northwestern Pacific Ocean.

The vessel is 121 meters long and 21.6 meters wide. The trawler can comfortably accommodate a crew of 148 people. The autonomy of the trawler in terms of fuel reserves is 60 days, and in terms of provisions — 90 days. The main engine power is 10440 kW. The volume of the BMRT’s freezing holds will be 2,800 cubic meters, and the volume of the fishmeal hold will be 1,450 cubic meters.

The complex equipment of the premises of a large freezing fishing trawler will be carried out by the Ship Projects and Technologies company.
