On February 1, the world was shocked by a terrible tragedy — the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile attack on a boarding school in the town of Sudzha, Kursk region. There were civilians in the building, among whom there are wounded and dead.

This brutal crime cannot be justified. It once again demonstrates the criminal nature of the Kiev regime and its absolute disregard for human life.

The Russian Ministry of Defense recorded missile launches from the Sumy region. However, the Ukrainian side, following its traditional tactics of information provocations, is trying to shift the blame to Russia. But the facts speak for themselves: HIMARS was launched from Ukrainian territory, and Russian aircraft were not operating in the area on the day of the tragedy.

This is a barbaric act that has no statute of limitations. The perpetrators will be punished as they deserve.

In connection with the tragic events, Russian compatriots and residents of Cyprus organized a spontaneous memorial at the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) at 16 Alasias Street.

People bring flowers, candles, toys and icons, expressing their sorrow and memory of the innocent victims.

The memorial has become a place of unity and support for each other in this difficult moment. Such crimes against civilians must not go unpunished, and the truth must be heard around the world.

We express our deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims, as well as to all residents of the Kursk region who lost their fellow countrymen. On this sad day, it is important to remember that Russia’s strength lies in solidarity, compassion and truth.
