In Paphos, schoolchildren planted trees on the beach

Students of the Mandria village Primary School in the Paphos district on Monday, February 10, took part in a tree planting event on a local beach.

The children, with the support of the Paphos District Tourism Board (Etap) and the Village Council, planted a total of 50 trees.

This initiative is the first of its kind implemented in the Paphos tourism sector, and it is hoped that the trees will provide natural shade for beachgoers this summer and in the future.

Etap said it hopes to improve the beach in other ways so that it becomes an “exemplary beach” with “excellent access and service” in the future.
