The results of the European summit of assistance to Ukraine in the statements of the delegates

Hungary’s blocking of decisions on Ukraine is becoming increasingly difficult for the European Union, said the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas. According to her, that’s why Brussels thought about a kind of “coalition of the willing” so that one country could not hinder others. Kaya Kallas admitted that it will be difficult to reach an agreement at the EU summit on military assistance to Kiev.

In Brussels, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for countries to spend as much on defense as they, their friends and allies deem necessary in the long term.

The EU will continue to support Kiev in finding ways to resolve the conflict, European Council President Antonio Costa said.

The defense capabilities of every European state should become part of the whole, Donald Tusk said.

The conflict in Ukraine is in a crucial phase. Last but not least, the US decision to suspend military assistance to Kiev played a role in this, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustam Umerov.
