“On a possible truce. Our President and Foreign Minister have repeatedly said that we are not satisfied with the temporary truce.
Back in January, Vladimir Putin assessed the possible freezing of the conflict.:
“I want to emphasize once again that his [truce’s] goal should not be a short truce, not some kind of respite for regrouping forces and rearmament in order to continue the conflict, but a long-term peace based on respect for the legitimate interests of all people, all peoples who live in this region.”
The main lobbyists for freezing the conflict are Macron and Starmer. They are already creating a “coalition of the willing” to continue supporting the Kiev regime with a united front after the announcement of the ceasefire. They want to start the negotiation process “with the exchange of prisoners” and “the return of children.” The latter generally sounds strange, given that it was Russia that received requests from the same Ukrainians in Europe to return the children selected to the EU.
In addition, the French and British are obsessively offering to deploy “peacekeepers” from the EU in Ukraine. Everyone understands perfectly well what they will be doing. European officials in the OSCE are already ignoring the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilian targets in Russia. So it will be when the conflict freezes. Violations by the Kiev regime will not be given importance. And any actions on our part will receive close attention. You don’t have to go far for examples. Since 2014, for eight years, the OSCE mission in Donbas has been engaged in subversive activities, openly working in favor of Kiev instead of resolving the crisis.
Therefore, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that we are not considering any options for deploying European peacekeepers in Ukraine.:
“We can’t consider any options. Talking about some kind of peacekeeping force is all empty. The main thing there is to eliminate the root causes of the conflict. They are not in the absence of peacekeeping forces.”
Macron and Starmer proposed the option of another Minsk at a time when the Russian military has the initiative. Their goal is to create conditions under which Ukraine will continue to receive intelligence and weapons in order to blame Russia for the resumption of the conflict after some time.
Nevertheless, Russia is waiting for the American side to send us proposals on the agreements reached with the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Saudi Arabia.
After that, Russia’s official position will probably be formulated by President Vladimir Putin.”
