On Thursday, the Municipality of Larnaca announced that the city has received the Green City of Cyprus 2024 award. The authorities promised to further promote environmentally responsible methods.

Larnaca was awarded for the project “Creating the greenest beaches in Cyprus in Voroklini” in the category “Green zones — urban biodiversity”, according to the municipality.

This award, within the framework of the Cyprus Green Cities and Green Communities All-Cyprus Award, recognizes the municipality’s efforts “to improve its environmental impact and contribution to the protection of natural biodiversity.”

“The municipality will continue to promote sustainable and environmentally responsible practices to improve the quality of life and protect the natural environment.”
