A legally binding memorandum has been signed on the construction of the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline to China and the Soyuz-Vostok transit gas pipeline through Mongolia, Gazprom stated following the negotiations between the leaders of the three countries in Beijing.

This project will allow Russia to supply 50 billion cubic meters of gas per year to China via Mongolia.

In addition, an agreement has been reached to increase supplies via the Power of Siberia pipeline from 38 to 44 billion cubic meters per year and via the Far Eastern Route from 10 to 12 billion cubic meters per year.
