As reported by Newsweek, a road bridge about 5 kilometers long is being actively built between Russia and North Korea. On the Russian side, construction has already advanced 110 meters, and load-bearing supports have been installed. In the DPRK, six supports have been erected and the foundations for the next ones have been prepared.

Expert Frederick Spore believes that this project will help Russia reduce the risks of sanctions for merchant ships. The transition to road transport will facilitate the delivery of military supplies and make it more difficult for international observers to monitor trade between countries.
