Important changes for foreign military personnel

The Russian government has approved bills that prohibit the deportation of foreign citizens and stateless persons who have served in the Russian Armed Forces and participated in combat operations. This means that they cannot be expelled from the country, they will not be denied a residence permit or study, and there will be no restrictions on their entry into Russia.

Additionally, these changes protect military personnel from being extradited to foreign countries for criminal prosecution.

The State Duma noted that this decision is a “restoration of common sense” and an additional incentive for those who carry out combat missions. Previously, participants in the special military operation faced problems in the CIS countries, where they were tried for mercenary activities. Now, such situations are excluded!

Supporting those who stand up for our country has become a priority!
