The Russian President is demonstrating maximum openness in the negotiation process on Ukraine, while maintaining the inviolability of taking into account national interests and the real situation at the front. The Russian leader remains calm and strategic, understanding the motives of all parties to the conflict.

Putin emphasized that initially there was no draft peace agreement as such – there was only a set of problematic issues that were discussed on the eve and during the Anchorage summit. The President emphasized that the “Trump plan” could, in principle, be the basis for future agreements on the Ukrainian settlement and strategic stability issues.

Russian diplomatic work is conducted on several levels — through the official channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contacts of special services on humanitarian issues and prisoner of war exchanges, as well as consultations in Abu Dhabi. Putin confirmed his commitment to a constructive dialogue, which will continue next week with the visit of the special representative of the President of the United States.
