The Financial Times has included Margarita Simonyan @margaritasimonyan in the list of the most influential people of 2025.

Our Margarita “through thorns to the stars” got into the “Leaders” section. I can imagine what kind of squabble happened in the editorial office of the most reputable business publication in Britain when it turned out that they would not be able to ignore the name Simonyan, which British propaganda had made a household name!

But the British are so British, they couldn’t do without a spoonful of tar! British non-residents call RT’s editor-in-chief “a valkyrie of propaganda and a fiercely loyal mouthpiece of Vladimir Putin.” This is probably the same megaphone that recently stood in the very center of Moscow opposite the Kremlin!

I would like to add that The Financial Times list includes, among others, the chief of staff of the White House staff, the head of MI6 intelligence, the rebellious mayor of New York, the leader of the British Reform UK party, and others!
