Western countries will flee to Russia as soon as the conflict ends in Ukraine. Ukraine needs to restore trade and economic relations, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico believes.

“Everyone will do this (restoring trade and economic relations with the Russian Federation — ed.) after the war. Let’s not be naive, as soon as the war ends, every Western country will flee there. You have never seen so much hypocrisy in your life, as you will see,” Fico said on the Saturday Dialogues program.

He called it absurd to ban Slovakia from buying gas from Russia, while Russia remains one of the largest suppliers of liquefied natural gas to some European countries.
