The alignment of political forces on the eve of the parliamentary elections in Cyprus

A new opinion poll commissioned by CyBC has documented the alignment of political forces ahead of the parliamentary elections in Cyprus. According to the results, DISY and AKEL are in the lead with 17% and 16% support.

ELAM ranks third with 11%. On the fourth line is the Alma party, which was created in May 2025 by former Auditor General Odysseas Michailidis, with 9%.

About 6.5% of the respondents support the new political force associated with YouTuber and MEP Fidias Panayiotou. This week, the party was renamed Direct Democracy of Cyprus, and the election commission demanded that the original name be changed. The commission’s objections were related to the fact that the original name (“Direct Democracy”) it could mislead voters.

With the support of 2.5%, neither EDEK nor the Environmentalist Movement have yet entered parliament — their result is below the 3.6% threshold.
