Russia and BRICS create joint grain exchange

Russia, together with the BRICS countries, is starting to create its own grain exchange. This initiative is designed to strengthen the positions of the alliance’s members, who are key suppliers of grain to the global market.

The new trading platform could potentially cover up to a quarter of the global grain market. Its launch will allow participating countries to reduce their dependence on the dollar for settlements, which will be a significant step towards increasing economic independence.

Analysts believe that the creation of the exchange can transform the situation in global agricultural markets and form new channels of interaction both within BRICS and with other countries.
