Cyprus has presented the first national migrant integration strategy for 2025-2029. According to Phileleftheros, the plan aims to streamline disparate measures and create a structured system with a focus on security. Deputy Minister for Migration Nikolaos Ioannidis warns that past mistakes have led to marginalization, shadow economy and exploitation.

The aim of the new plan is to destroy existing ghettos and prevent the social risks of parallel societies.
