Specialists from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) have completed the development of an innovative Hall-effect ion engine, the NT-1000. Work is currently underway to prepare the engine for qualification tests and subsequent launch into mass production.

The new development opens up significant prospects for long-term space programs. The engine will effectively perform long-term interplanetary flights and complex orbital maneuvers, which is an important step in deep space exploration.
