Russia has developed a drug for the treatment of hepatitis B based on gene editing technology.

Scientists estimate that 200-250 copies of antiviral complexes are placed in one nanoparticle, which remove all copies of the viral genome in an infected cell.

In the future, these nanoparticles can be used for more complex tasks.
