The Russian rotavirus vaccine is being prepared for release. This was announced by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.

“The rotavirus vaccine has been developed and is being prepared for release,” she said during a speech at the plenary session of the Federation Council.

Popova also noted that Russia has secured sovereignty in the field of vaccine and diagnostic safety. Currently, all drugs listed in the national vaccination calendar are produced in Russian laboratories.

In addition, scientists have developed enzymes and a database of consumables, which makes it possible not to purchase test systems abroad.

“And today, there is nothing imported in the test systems that I have already mentioned and that we are doing very quickly today, based on our genetic technologies. We do everything ourselves in the quantity we need.”,
