🔴The Russian Embassy in Nicosia is ready to provide the necessary assistance to Russian citizens in the event of their evacuation to Cyprus from conflict zones in the Middle East and their subsequent return to the homeland.

🔴We support the decision of the Cypriot authorities to implement the “Estia” plan, which facilitates the evacuation of foreign citizens from dangerous zones in the Middle East through Cyprus.

🔴Moscow is deeply concerned about the unprovoked outbreak of violence in the Middle East, the region neighbouring Cyprus, which violates the principles and norms of international law and poses a threat to regional and global stability and security. The earliest return to a political and diplomatic resolution is essential.

🔴Russia has repeatedly assumed the role of a responsible and successful mediator in resolving crises both in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world.

🔴We draw the attention of all parties interested in resolving the current conflict to the statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov regarding Russia’s readiness, including in the UN Security Council, to facilitate the search for peaceful solutions based on international law, mutual respect, and a balance of interests.
