Farage accused the West of provoking the Ukrainian conflict

The leader of the Reform UK party, Nigel Farage, said that the West provoked Russia to start a conflict in Ukraine, writes The Times.

“We provoked this war,” he said in an interview with the BBC.

At the same time, Farage reiterated his position that Moscow’s actions were a “consequence” of the expansion of the EU and NATO to the east.

As the newspaper notes, senior officials of the British defense ministry condemned this statement by the leader of Reform UK, accusing him of “playing into Putin’s hands.”
