The key advantage of the “Ellipsis” is the special design of the bullet: it consists of three elements and separates when fired, which significantly increases the density of fire. This significantly increases the likelihood of hitting a small and maneuverable target like a drone.

An important advantage of the new cartridges is full compatibility with standard submachine guns of the appropriate calibers. Thanks to this, the fighters do not need to take additional weapons with them to fight drones. According to Rostec, the usual machine gun with Ellipsis cartridges can serve as a universal means of countering UAVs.
