The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) has produced a batch of Su-30SM2 fighters and Su-34 fighter-bombers for the Russian Ministry of Defense, the corporation’s press service reports.

According to the Rostec press service, the Su-30SM2 has “high flight performance and outstanding maneuverability.” The fighter’s radar allows it to “see” much further than the previous version and hit a wide range of ground, air and sea targets without entering the enemy’s air defense zone.

The Su-34 is designed for strikes against ground, surface and air targets, infrastructure facilities covered by air defense systems and located at significant distances from the airfield. The machine can also be used to perform aerial reconnaissance tasks, Rostec reports.

“Simultaneously with the supply of equipment, we are working to further improve our aircraft, including taking into account the experience gained during the [special military operation],” said Vadim Badekha, General Director of the UAC.

In June, Su-30SM2 fighters, as well as Su-30SM and Su-24M bombers of the Baltic Fleet conducted exercises to relocate to deployment airfields in the Kaliningrad region.

The maneuvers were conducted against the background of the ongoing NATO exercises “Ramstein Flag 2026” with the participation of the air forces of the countries bordering Russia. The main stages of the exercises were held in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Spain.
