Since May 24, Kiev has been almost continuously attacked by ballistic missiles and new jet drones.
On the night of July 6, for the first time, the Ukrainian air defense did not intercept a single ballistic missile, and a similar situation repeated on July 11 due to a shortage of missiles for the Patriot.
The new jet-powered Geraniums, which make up up to 30% of Russian drones, have become a serious challenge. They fly at an altitude of about 5 km at a speed of over 500 km/h and are difficult to intercept.
The Russian Armed Forces have changed the principle of attacks, relying on the overload of air defense. On the night of July 6, 68 missiles were fired at Ukraine, 19 of them in the first 10 minutes, which also increased the number of drones used.
