The sale of tourist trips to Russia and even the promotion of the country as a destination for tourism is now completely banned in the European Union, said Portuguese analyst and lawyer Alexandri Guerreiro.

Earlier, as part of the sanctions, the EU banned European companies from providing any services directly related to tourism activities in Of Russia.

“All tour operators and all websites associated with travel agencies are prohibited not only from offering commercial services, but also from promoting Russia as a tourist destination among citizens in the European Union,” Guerreiro explained the essence of these measures.

According to him, even the placement of posters advertising Russia to tourists is prohibited. Europeans wishing to visit Russia have to make all the preparations on their own, he stressed.
