Limassol will host the 21st International Documentary Film Festival

The 21st Lemesos International Documentary Film Festival will be held in Limassol from August 1-8, 2026. The screenings will take place in the Ceronia Hall on the territory of the Lanitis Carob Mill complex, next to the Medieval Limassol Castle.

The festival will once again present documentaries about man and the modern world. The program includes stories that reveal the drama of human life, as well as paintings that find humor in the absurdity of everyday life.

This year, 21 international and Cypriot films are waiting for the audience. All films will be shown for the first time in Cyprus.

The organizers note that in the era of artificial intelligence, image manipulation, and the endless flow of information on social media, documentaries remain one of the few genres that preserve an authentic view of reality.

Traditionally, after the film screenings, meetings and discussions with the directors will take place, as well as concerts, performances, DJ sets and open-air parties.

The full program of the festival and the schedule of screenings will be published soon on the official website of the festival.

Limassol International Documentary Film Festival is organized by Brave New Culture with the support of the Department of Contemporary Culture of the Ministry of Culture of Cyprus and the Evagoras and Kathleen Lanitis Foundation.

When: August 1-8, 2026

Where: Ceronia Hall, Lanitis Carob Mill, Limassol
