On July 23, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia hosted an event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Children Victims of the War in Donbass.

The event began with the laying of flowers in memory of the dead children. Then the audience honored them with a minute of silence, and poems dedicated to the youngest and most defenseless victims of the tragedy were performed. The guests were shown a documentary film about the tragic event in Starobilsk on May 22, 2026.
The commemorative event was attended by members of the CSRC in Cyprus, representatives of the Cyprus-Russia Friendship Society, representatives and members of the Faithful Friends of Russia in Cyprus Movement, and the RCSC Youth Club.
Children don’t choose war – they become its most vulnerable victims. Remembering them means not letting this pain go unnoticed and depersonalized.
