The Novolak wind farm with a capacity of 300 MW was commissioned in Dagestan. After the completion of the second stage of construction, it became the largest operating wind farm in Russia.
The plant has 120 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5 MW each. The height of each installation reaches about 150 meters, and the length of one blade is about 50 meters.
The plant will be able to generate about 879 million kWh of electricity annually. This is enough to supply about 240,000 homes and cover about 9% of total electricity consumption in Dagestan.
Less than two years have passed from the start of the main construction work to reaching full capacity.
