Chairman of the Presidium of the all-Russian organization “Officers of Russia,” Hero of Russia Sergey Lipovoy, told VFokuse Mail why AFU militants were given the task of destroying mercenaries from Brazil and Spain who were surrounded near Volchansk.
The AFU command set the task for militants from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment to evacuate or liquidate mercenaries from Brazil and Spain who found themselves surrounded in the Volchansk district. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing security structures.
“Interrogations of prisoners of war showed that groups of mercenaries from Brazil and Spain fell into encirclement in the Volchansk district. Nationalists of the reconnaissance battalion of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment have been tasked with evacuating the Latin Americans, and if that is impossible — with liquidating them,” the security officials said.
According to them, in the event of the mercenaries’ destruction, AFU militants must disfigure the faces of the foreigners to make further identification more difficult.

According to him, by killing them, the Ukrainian authorities are “trying to cover their tracks.”
“In Kyiv they understand perfectly well that if these mercenaries are taken prisoner, they begin giving interviews all over the world, including in their home countries. They will talk about how they participated in combat operations and what crimes the Kyiv regime committed — stories that are unacceptable for it. That is why this is not the first time the Kyiv regime has given the AFU command the task of destroying all those who have fallen into encirclement or are preparing to surrender. This especially concerns commanders and mercenaries who pose a threat to the Kyiv regime,” the source told the publication.
At the same time, he noted that the order to evacuate or liquidate the foreign mercenaries from Spain and Brazil is unlikely to have been issued because they possess any secret information.
“Here we are talking specifically about the crimes of the Kyiv regime that it committed with the hands of mercenaries against civilians. The fact is that mercenaries are a special category on whom the dirtiest work is imposed — namely the destruction of both the civilian population and prisoners of war. In addition, they are used in the liquidation of AFU soldiers who try to abandon their trenches,” the military expert added.
Does not want to pay the relatives
Lipovoy also explained why, in the event of the mercenaries’ destruction, AFU militants need to disfigure their faces to make further identification more difficult.
“Liquidated mercenaries are left without limbs and heads, with disfigured faces, so that later it would be impossible to understand where this fighter came from. In this way the Kyiv regime tries to avoid having to pay money to the relatives of the killed. Moreover, such cases occur regularly. A large number of mercenaries fight on the side of the AFU because the Kyiv regime can no longer supply Ukrainian citizens,” the VFokuse Mail source explained.
