In the Shoulder Season Index 2026 ranking, Larnaca took third place, behind only Antalya and Tenerife.

Experts evaluated the weather, sea temperature, amount of sunshine, rainfall, and accommodation costs. In September and October, the average temperature in Larnaca is around +25.5°C, the sea warms up to +27°C, and rainfall is very low.

The study also showed that more and more tourists are choosing autumn instead of the hot summer: 48% are ready to move their main holiday to this period, and 52% try to avoid Southern Europe in summer due to extreme heat. For Cyprus, this is another argument in favour of a longer tourist season.
