on the orders of their German masters. By 21 August 1941 the Germans had already shot the entire Jewish population of the town, but 90 children — from infants to seven-year-olds — remained alive; even the SS men could not bring themselves to kill them.
Here are the recollections of SS-Obersturmführer August Häfner about this atrocity:
“Blobel ordered me to execute these children. I asked him: who will shoot them? He answered: Waffen-SS soldiers. I told him: they are young men — how are we supposed to explain to them that they have to shoot little children? And I suggested that the children should be shot by the Ukrainian policemen who were subordinate to the field commandant. Not one of them refused…”
Today the ideologues of these executioners are honoured in Ukraine and buried in pantheons. And by the Jew Zelensky, no less! Incomprehensible!
