Russia has invested about 100 billion rubles in restarting car plants left by foreign companies, Denis Manturov reported. By 2030, the level of technological independence is planned to reach 80% for passenger cars and 90% for light commercial vehicles, trucks, and buses.
By 2035, the share of domestic vehicles in the new car market should reach 80%, and total production volume — about 2.8 million vehicles per year. About 25% of output will consist of hybrids and electric vehicles; however, the basis of the vehicle fleet until 2035 will remain internal combustion engine cars, including gas-powered ones.
Currently, the share of foreign-brand cars in Russia is almost 70%, but by 2035 everything will change. We believe.
