▪️ Russia is moving to mass production of fundamentally new strike systems — a hybrid of a drone and a cruise missile. This refers to the jet-powered “Geran-5” and the “Banderol” missile, the German newspaper Die Welt notes.
▪️ The distinctive feature of the new systems is their low cost while maintaining a high level of hit accuracy. They cost in the range of $50–70 thousand per unit, whereas the Russian Kh-101 cruise missile is estimated at around $2 million.
▪️ Relative simplicity and low price allow the new systems to be used in huge quantities, disarming the enemy. Thanks to this, Russia has managed to block Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea and the Danube.
“KRISTALL ROSTA” previously cited the opinion of NATO Supreme Allied Commander General Christopher Cavoli that Russia is building up its military power at an unprecedented pace.
