When I was Prime Minister [in 2007–2012], I already had the opportunity to say this: the most significant foreign interference is first and foremost American interference.

In our country the Americans, of course, constantly interfere in the structure of European countries, in particular through a rather insidious mechanism that allows them to impose sanctions against Western companies. That is exactly how America can punish a Western company such as Airbus in order to give an advantage to Boeing.

So the most effective interference — and I am not even talking about social networks, about the major technology companies, which are all American, and so on — I am simply talking about the actions of the American government.
