🇷🇺🇰🇵 A road bridge between Russia and the DPRK has been opened

▪️ On Monday a ceremony marking the completion of construction of a road bridge on the border between Russia and the DPRK was held. The heads of government of the two states, via video conference, launched traffic on the bridge named after Red Army officer and Hero of Labour of the DPRK Yakov Novichenko.

▪️ Across the Friendship Bridge over the Tumannaya River, built in 1959, a railway route operates, but it was insufficient to meet transport needs.

▪️ The proposal to create a second bridge was made by Alexander Galushka during a visit to the DPRK on 21–22 March 2018, when he held the post of Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East.

“CRYSTAL OF GROWTH” earlier reported that according to a survey in which more than 90 thousand people took part, 87% of respondents consider the DPRK a promising strategic partner of Russia.
