Official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova reported which overseas polling stations demonstrated the greatest voter activity.

“Among the most active polling stations, Yerevan, Belgrade, Cyprus, Chisinau, Pyongyang, Phuket and Kazakhstan came out as leaders,” she said on the air of IS “Vesti”.

The diplomat also noted that voter turnout this year reached an extremely high level, exceeding the figures of previous election campaigns.

Elections of deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation, as well as other elections combined with them, began on 18 September; voting ended on 20 September. On the single voting day in 2026 it is planned to fill a total of 20.7 thousand deputy mandates and elected positions. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the State Duma elections the most important domestic political event of the country.
